Elemental Massage
Elemental Massage
An elemental refers to the ancient idea of elements as fundamental building blocks of nature.
There are four elements: fire, earth, air, and water.
This massage is a combination of hot rocks massage, Massage cupping bodywork,
and raindrop aromatherapy.

Earth", represents the hard, solid objects of the world. The most basic example of chi is in a
stone.
We start with a hot rock massage to warm up the muscles, soften tissues, increase circulation
and provide comfort and relaxation. Hot Stone Massage combines the proven benefits of
Swedish massage with deep heat and pressure provided by using warm basalt stones

Fire", represents the energetic, forceful, moving things in the world. The apparent examples
are heat and flame. "Wind", represents things that grow, expand, and enjoy freedom of
movement.
Massage Cupping™ bodywork Therapy uses varied techniques using stationary and moving
glass cups as a modern adaptation of the ancient art of cupping therapy.
A practitioner lights a cotton ball soaked with alcohol and inserts it into the cup to create the
vacuum. Then removes the cotton ball and inverts the cup onto the body. By creating suction
and negative pressure, cupping is used to: drain excess fluids and toxins, loosen adhesions
and lift connective tissue, bring blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles and stimulate the
peripheral nervous system.

"Water", represents the fluid, flowing, formless things in the world. Outside of the obvious
example of rivers and the like, plants are also categorized under water.
The session is concluded with a raindrop aromatherapy treatment. Essential oil blends
immediately after the cupping will enable the absorption of the product deep into the tissue.
Massage Cupping increased local blood supply to the muscles and skin will bring nourishment
and allow for toxins to be carried away via the veins
